Batter boards and trenching...Next we laid out batter boards and string to square off the 27' x 48' rectangle using the 3x4x5 rule.
We rented an excavator/backhoe to dig a trench for a water line from the house as well as a 60amp electrical sub-panel. It was slow going and took an entire weekend. The trench is 5'5" - 6' deep. What a mess!
